Oh, that's right. Because you need practicality, better build quality, seating for more than 2, something not 11 years old........I'm a huge fan of most of Tavrish's work, but the "Why buy X when you could buy Y" series is getting more and more ridiculous. There are tons of good examples out there to be used, this being one. It has a clean title, is reliable, low miles, etc.
But he feels the need to use salvage, unreliable, ridiculous examples. There's a huge case to be made for buying used cars because you can get much more bang for the buck, but he continues to give absolutely ridiculous examples.
Man up, Tavrish. Use an NSX.

While I agree, to me the massive amount of complaining is more annoying than the original posts.

Ehh I see where you're coming from. But used Corvette > new Camaro isn't that big of a stretch.

The only one I agreed with was, "Why buy a Camry, when you can buy this IS-F?" That one made sense.

But when it's salvage with a somewhat sketchy history.....

At this point that has to be why he does it. 90-95 percent of the feedback he receives is negative. I mean a salvage title car that can't be financed or insured, come on man.

THIS. If only I had more stars...

I think those posts are made just to appeal to the idiotic, impractical side that a lot of us around here have. Somewhat of a tongue in cheek writing method. They're absurd posts, but I do find them enjoyable. The comments are always hilarious too because everybody gets up in arms about his suggestions.
The IS-F suggestion was the most realistic one he's had thus far I think.

That particular one. But there are a lot of Corvettes for around that price available.

He used a salvage example that was going for the same price as a clean example.
That's the entire reason he's getting ragged on over that article.

because insurance. And also the obvious notion that people who buy Chevy Malibus aren't cross-shopping for Corvettes.
